2023-24 School Year
The Where Art Lives program has funding from the San Francisco Arts Commission to provide graffiti arts education for your students. We want them to know the history of graffiti art as part of the Hip Hop movement and the current laws about graffiti in San Francisco today. What message do they want to share with their community?
Our lessons are best suited for grades 4-10, especially middle school students in any subject.
Use the art lessons on our website to learn ▶ Hip Hop values, ▶ graffiti lettering, ▶ emotional wellbeing, and more. You'll find ready-to-play slideshows with scaffolded instructions to help your class learn and create.
Commit to helping and encouraging your students to participate in the next Where Art Lives challenge.
Partnering classrooms are eligible to receive:
art supplies for the classrooms,
sketchbooks for each student,
a budget for teaching artist visits, mural projects, and/or field trips.
